Viladamat is a small village located on the alluvial plain to the right of the Fluvià, very close to the coast.
The region is rugged to the west due to the low elevation hills that form the Serra de Ventalló.
This small mountain range separates the Fluvià and Ter valleys.
The highest point of this range is Puig Segalar (179 m above sea level) from where you can see a magnificent view of the plain of L’Empordà and above all of the Gulf of Roses
